8/6/2002:
"OK, Woodstock it wasn't. But it seemed its dregs had trickled into East Troy, Wisconsin to pay their respects to the Grateful Dead. Some came for the atmosphere, but most came for the music. Thousands of tie-dyed, long-skirted, tattooed Deadheads descended on the tiny town over the weekend where the surviving members of the Grateful Dead were to reunite for a two-day concert at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre.

"It's the first time the original band members- Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir- have joined forces since the death of founder and lead singer Jerry Garcia in 1995."
Selected Comments:
I was there. They were selling Beanie Baby bears and lots of other crap with Steal Your Face logos on it. It was a huge commercial to buy crap. Sad that the Dead are dead and have become hucksters for future ebay fodder.
